Happy Birthday to you!
Today my baby turns 35 years old. Her birthday has always made her feel special because she shared it with her dad.
Her last 15 birthdays have been hard. What should be a joyful celebration for her always turns melancholy as she celebrates the day without him. Telling her he is with her in spirit doesn't help.
Wendy's a great mom. She loves her boys and is involved in their lives. She coached them all in basketball when no dad wanted to step forward.
I'm proud of the woman she continues to become.Today I celebrate and thank God for the gift of my beautiful daughter, but I also praise and thank him for the wonderful man he brought into my life so many years ago.
